On distingue g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement le quartz \u03b1 (quartz de basse temp\u00e9rature, syst\u00e8me trigonal) et le quartz \u03b2 (quartz de haute temp\u00e9rature, syst\u00e8me hexagonal), dont la temp\u00e9rature de transformation est de 573 \u00b0C. Parfois, du fait de sa position \u00e0 l&#039;extr\u00e9mit\u00e9 de la famille des silicates, il est \u00e9galement class\u00e9 comme silicate. Le groupe du quartz comprend divers polymorphes de SiO\u2082 comme le quartz, la cristobalite, la tridymite, la co\u00e9site et la stishovite, ces deux derniers \u00e9tant des phases de haute pression.<br>La composition chimique th\u00e9orique du quartz est 100% SiO\u2082, soit Si 46,74% et O 53,26%. Le quartz naturel est relativement pur, mais peut contenir des traces d&#039;\u00e9l\u00e9ments impurs tels que Al, K, Na, Li, Ca, Fe, Mg, Mn, Ti, Cu, Zn, Cr, Ni, B et P en raison de substitutions isomorphes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La structure cristalline \u00e0 r\u00e9seau ouvert du quartz (SiO\u2082) lui conf\u00e8re une densit\u00e9 relativement faible de 2,65. Cependant, les liaisons Si-O dans les t\u00e9tra\u00e8dres [SiO\u2084] sont fortes, ce qui lui donne une duret\u00e9 de 7 sur l&#039;\u00e9chelle de Mohs. Il est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement incolore ou blanc laiteux, mais peut pr\u00e9senter diverses couleurs en raison d&#039;impuret\u00e9s. Translucide, il poss\u00e8de une duret\u00e9 de 7, une cassure concho\u00efdale fragile, un \u00e9clat vitreux et une densit\u00e9 de 2,65. On distingue actuellement sept principaux types de gisements industriels de quartz\u00a0: le cristal naturel, le gr\u00e8s quartzeux, le quartzite, le quartz filonien, le quartz en poudre, le sable siliceux naturel et le quartz granitique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-vivid-cyan-blue-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-d01241062684f018dfca8a9b248d7611\">Cristal naturel<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Un min\u00e9ral cristallin de quartz de grande taille, incolore et transparent, compos\u00e9 principalement de dioxyde de silicium. Les min\u00e9raux accessoires sont souvent du feldspath, du mica et des min\u00e9raux argileux, avec peu de min\u00e9raux lourds. Elle peut contenir des feldspaths, des micas, des min\u00e9raux argileux et des traces de tourmaline, d&#039;h\u00e9matite et de zircon. Il se forme principalement par alt\u00e9ration de roches m\u00e8res siliceuses, cr\u00e9ant des d\u00e9p\u00f4ts s\u00e9dimentaires. Principalement des gisements de sable s\u00e9dimentaire marins et lacustres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-vivid-cyan-blue-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-0182866986b22ac9e6b5941045960942\">Quartz granitique<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>La raison principale pour laquelle des entreprises comme Sibelco, avec sa gamme IOTA, ont acquis un monopole international sur le quartz de haute puret\u00e9 r\u00e9side dans leur mati\u00e8re premi\u00e8re unique\u00a0: le quartz granitique de Spruce Pine, en Caroline du Nord (\u00c9tats-Unis). Apr\u00e8s diverses \u00e9tapes de transformation, il est utilis\u00e9 dans la fabrication du verre, la fonderie, la c\u00e9ramique, les r\u00e9fractaires, la chimie, l&#039;extraction p\u00e9troli\u00e8re, la purification de l&#039;eau, la construction, le photovolta\u00efque (\u00e9nergies nouvelles), les semi-conducteurs \u00e9lectroniques, les fibres optiques, l&#039;optique, les sources lumineuses, les mat\u00e9riaux fibreux haut de gamme, les charges industrielles, et bien plus encore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-vivid-cyan-blue-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-c3b93f9e9af17bd839568e4234cd2eb7\">Application de plus grand volume<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>L&#039;industrie verri\u00e8re est la plus grande consommatrice de quartz, largement utilis\u00e9 dans la construction, l&#039;automobile, les \u00e9nergies nouvelles et le secteur m\u00e9dical. Les donn\u00e9es nationales montrent qu&#039;en 2023, la Chine a produit 9,69 millions de bo\u00eetes de verre plat (consommant environ 32,47 millions de tonnes de sable de quartz) et 24,78 millions de tonnes de verre photovolta\u00efque lamin\u00e9 (consommant environ 17,6 millions de tonnes de sable de quartz \u00e0 faible teneur en fer, soit environ 0,71 tonne par tonne de verre). Ainsi, la production de verre plat et de verre photovolta\u00efque a consomm\u00e9 \u00e0 elle seule plus de 50 millions de tonnes de sable de quartz en 2023. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La demande en aval provient de l&#039;immobilier, de l&#039;automobile, de l&#039;\u00e9lectrom\u00e9nager, du photovolta\u00efque, des emballages de consommation courante et de l&#039;\u00e9lectronique. Historiquement, la demande d&#039;environ 751\u00a0000 tonnes de verre conventionnel \u00e9tait li\u00e9e \u00e0 l&#039;immobilier\u00a0; la croissance future de la demande de verre conventionnel devrait \u00eatre lente en raison du ralentissement du secteur immobilier. Port\u00e9es par les objectifs de \u00ab\u00a0double neutralit\u00e9 carbone\u00a0\u00bb, les installations photovolta\u00efques mondiales continueront de cro\u00eetre, soutenant ainsi la croissance de la demande de verre photovolta\u00efque.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour obtenir la finesse pr\u00e9cise requise aux diff\u00e9rentes \u00e9tapes de la production du verre, une r\u00e9duction granulom\u00e9trique efficace est essentielle.
