M\u00fcller A. et al. (2007) foram os primeiros a tentar classificar o quartzo com base no teor de elementos tra\u00e7o de impurezas, sugerindo que o quartzo de alta pureza deveria apresentar os seguintes valores em ppm: Al &lt; 30, B &lt; 1, Ca &lt; 5, Fe &lt; 3, K &lt; 8, Li &lt; 5, Na &lt; 8, Ti &lt; 10, P &lt; 2, com impurezas totais &lt; 50 ppm. Zhang Ye et al. (2010) observaram que a areia de quartzo de alta pureza, reconhecida internacionalmente, apresenta um teor total de 15 impurezas (Al, K, Na, Li, Ca, Fe, Mg, Mn, Ti, Zr, Cu, Cr, Ni, P, B) inferior a 22,26 ppm. O \u201cCat\u00e1logo de Orienta\u00e7\u00f5es para Demonstra\u00e7\u00e3o da Aplica\u00e7\u00e3o do Primeiro Lote de Novos Materiais Chave (Edi\u00e7\u00e3o de 2018)\u201d da China especifica que o quartzo de alta pureza deve ter um teor total de 12 impurezas (Fe, Mg, Cr, Ni, Cu, Mn, Ca, Al, Na, Li, K, B) inferior a 6 ppm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As inclus\u00f5es fluidas, comuns no quartzo, s\u00e3o uma das principais causas de bolhas em produtos de quartzo de alta pureza, afetando severamente a qualidade. Portanto, o quartzo de alta pureza deve conter inclus\u00f5es fluidas nulas ou em quantidade m\u00ednima. Com o r\u00e1pido crescimento da ind\u00fastria de alta tecnologia, a quantidade limitada e o esgotamento do cristal natural tornaram-se inacess\u00edveis para a demanda. Desde a d\u00e9cada de 1970, os EUA passaram a utilizar pegmatito gran\u00edtico, o Jap\u00e3o, pegmatito de granula\u00e7\u00e3o fina, enquanto a R\u00fassia e a Alemanha utilizaram quartzito metam\u00f3rfico e quartzo de veio. Diferentes tipos de min\u00e9rio de quartzo apresentam caracter\u00edsticas mineral\u00f3gicas distintas. Uma an\u00e1lise detalhada \u00e9 fundamental para determinar as propriedades do min\u00e9rio, projetar processos de beneficiamento\/purifica\u00e7\u00e3o e definir metas de produto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Composi\u00e7\u00e3o Qu\u00edmica e Ocorr\u00eancia de Elementos de Impureza<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A an\u00e1lise qu\u00edmica revela os tipos e teores dos elementos, mas n\u00e3o permite avaliar com precis\u00e3o o potencial de processamento para obten\u00e7\u00e3o de quartzo de alta pureza. Composi\u00e7\u00e3o Mineral e Textura<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Para selecionar a mat\u00e9ria-prima adequada e projetar a purifica\u00e7\u00e3o ideal, \u00e9 necess\u00e1rio identificar a <em>modo de ocorr\u00eancia<\/em> A pureza das impurezas \u00e9 essencial. Minerais de ganga independentes associados (por exemplo, mica, feldspato, hematita, turmalina, clorita, minerais argilosos) s\u00e3o os principais portadores de impurezas e formam facilmente inclus\u00f5es minerais durante a mineraliza\u00e7\u00e3o, impactando significativamente a qualidade do produto final. A textura de intercrescimento entre o quartzo e a ganga afeta diretamente o grau de libera\u00e7\u00e3o e, consequentemente, a efici\u00eancia da purifica\u00e7\u00e3o. Uma altera\u00e7\u00e3o diagen\u00e9tica\/metam\u00f3rfica mais intensa leva a diferen\u00e7as de intercrescimento mais acentuadas, evoluindo de tipos adjacentes para suturados ou mesmo encapsulados, aumentando a dificuldade de libera\u00e7\u00e3o e reduzindo o potencial de processamento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Figura 1(a): Pegmatito gran\u00edtico de Spruce Pine, EUA \u2014 mineralogia complexa, mas o quartzo se desprende facilmente e cont\u00e9m inclus\u00f5es m\u00ednimas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Figura 1(b): Quartzo de veio de Qinghai, China \u2014 gr\u00e3os grossos e puros com muscovita em menor quantidade nos limites\/bordas dos gr\u00e3os, libera-se facilmente, pode render &gt;99,99% SiO\u2082, Al &lt;10 ppm ap\u00f3s processamento.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Figura 1(c): Concentrado purificado mostrando inclus\u00f5es minerais persistentes \u2014 com a tecnologia atual, as inclus\u00f5es ficam retidas. <em>dentro de<\/em> Os gr\u00e3os de quartzo n\u00e3o podem ser separados de forma eficaz. Seu tipo, tamanho e conte\u00fado impactam significativamente a qualidade. Classificadas por conte\u00fado: gasosas, l\u00edquidas, g\u00e1s-l\u00edquidas, trif\u00e1sicas. Cont\u00eam impurezas (Na, K, Ca, etc.) e afetam negativamente o comportamento de fus\u00e3o. Estudos mostram que a remo\u00e7\u00e3o de inclus\u00f5es fluidas \u00e9 mais desafiadora do que a remo\u00e7\u00e3o de impurezas elementares e \u00e9 um fator limitante crucial. Selecionar quartzo com poucas ou nenhuma inclus\u00e3o fluida \u00e9 fundamental.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4 Impurezas da Rede Cristalina <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Os elementos que substituem o Si\u2074\u207a durante a forma\u00e7\u00e3o do cristal tornam-se impurezas estruturais. Embora presentes em baixas concentra\u00e7\u00f5es, s\u00e3o extremamente dif\u00edceis de remover e constituem o fator mais cr\u00edtico que limita a qualidade. Modos de substitui\u00e7\u00e3o: 1) Substitui\u00e7\u00e3o isovalente (Ti\u2074\u207a, Ge\u2074\u207a); 2) Substitui\u00e7\u00e3o acoplada (Al\u00b3\u207a + P\u2075\u207a para 2Si\u2074\u207a); 3) Substitui\u00e7\u00e3o com compensa\u00e7\u00e3o de carga (Al\u00b3\u207a, Fe\u00b3\u207a para Si\u2074\u207a, balanceado por Li\u207a, Na\u207a, K\u207a, H\u207a). O Al \u00e9 tipicamente o elemento mais abundante. Sua substitui\u00e7\u00e3o cria um desequil\u00edbrio de carga, frequentemente correlacionado com maiores teores de Li, K e Na. O teor de Al pode indicar a qualidade da mat\u00e9ria-prima. <strong>Com a tecnologia atual, as impurezas da estrutura cristalina s\u00e3o praticamente irremov\u00edveis.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Figura 2 mostra o mapeamento SEM-EDS de uma part\u00edcula de quartzo de veio ap\u00f3s lixivia\u00e7\u00e3o por calor e press\u00e3o. O Al est\u00e1 distribu\u00eddo uniformemente (Figura 2b), correspondendo ao formato da part\u00edcula, indicando Al ligado \u00e0 rede cristalina. A distribui\u00e7\u00e3o de Mg \u00e9 indistinta (Figura 2c). Nem todas se rompem: inclus\u00f5es ricas em l\u00edquido se rompem perto da temperatura de homogeneiza\u00e7\u00e3o; as ricas em vapor podem suportar temperaturas mais altas.
